Brass Squib Rod
Made in the USA
$9
Nine dollars against a wrecked gun. If a shot sounds wrong and the gun doesn't cycle, stop — and this is what gets the bullet back out.
A squib is a round loaded light enough that the bullet leaves the case but not the barrel. The danger is entirely in what happens next: fire another round into an obstructed bore and the barrel is finished, and your hand might be. So the rule is the cheap one — a shot that sounds weak or doesn't cycle the gun means stop, unload, and look down the barrel before anything else happens. This is the rod that clears it. Brass, because brass is softer than the steel of your bore and will drive the bullet out without touching the rifling. Seven inches, which covers 9mm through .45 ACP. Keep it where you can reach it rather than in a toolbox at home; it is no use in the only moment it is needed otherwise. Note that brass alloy contains lead, which is what the California warning on the listing is about — the D-Wipes further up this shelf handle that.
