1615 Air Case, Graphite

Made in the USA

$429.95

The case the UpRanger travels in. Riley packs the bag into this one and the whole kit flies as a single checked piece.

Pelican's Air line is the light version of the case everyone already knows: a proprietary HPX² polymer that runs up to 40% lighter than an ordinary polymer case, without giving up waterproof, crushproof or dustproof — IP67 and MIL-SPEC certified, with an O-ring seal and an automatic pressure equalisation valve that balances the interior on a climb without letting water in. The 1615 is the biggest one that still makes maximum airline check-in size, with a retractable trolley handle, stainless-bearing wheels, a fold-down over-moulded handle, Press and Pull latches and stainless padlock protectors. Interior is 29.59 by 15.5 by 9.38 inches, exterior 32.58 by 18.4 by 11.02, and it weighs 17.6 pounds with the foam in it or 14.06 empty. Rated 0 to 140 degrees, and it floats 169 pounds. Riley's travel setup is the UpRanger inside this case — the pack's nominal width is a shade over the case interior on paper, but a soft-sided pack with removable wing panels goes in. Graphite here, and this is the Pick N Pluck foam version; it also comes bare, with padded dividers, or with the TrekPak divider system. Limited lifetime warranty.
