Field & Stream

2-Burner Tabletop Propane Stove, 10,000 BTU

The camp stove. Backstrap at the tailgate, coffee before light, and the lid keeps the Hill Country wind off the flame.

A two-burner suitcase stove of the kind that has cooked at deer camp for sixty years: a black steel box with a chrome grate over two burners, a lid that stands up as a back windscreen and two fold-out side panels to finish the job, a push-button igniter so there's no fumbling for a lighter with cold hands, and a regulator on the side that takes a one-pound propane cylinder straight on, or a bulk tank through an adapter hose. Ten thousand BTU, which is enough to get a skillet ripping and a percolator going at the same time, and each burner turns down to a simmer. The whole thing latches shut and carries like a briefcase. Tractor Supply's own Field & Stream line; the four-burner propane grill is its big brother.
