Skull Hooker

Table Hooker European Mount Stand, Graphite Black

$58.98

Where the skull goes when it's done. A euro mount on the desk instead of on a wall, and no drilling to get it there.

Skull Hooker's desk-and-shelf version of the bracket every taxidermist uses for European mounts. A heavy steel base plate, a curved arm and a three-prong hook that seats into the natural opening at the back of the skull, the foramen magnum, so nothing gets drilled and the skull comes off again whenever you want it. The arm adjusts up and down to set the head at a natural angle. Three pounds of powder-coated steel, which is enough ballast that a whitetail with a full rack stays put. Sized for small and medium skulls: deer, pronghorn, impala, cougar, bear. The skull has to be left intact around that rear opening for the prong to hold. Graphite Black in the picture; it also comes in Robust Brown, and Skull Hooker makes the wall-hanging version for the big stuff.
